MEETING THE GROWING CHALLENGE OF POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER

PTSD is a chronic, debilitating disorder developed after life-threatening events. PTSD can be categorized by chronic activation of the sympathetic, or “fight or flight,” nervous system with physiological changes in the body of a protracted stress response. Current mental health treatments such as talk therapy and antidepressants often don’t provide permanent relief or eliminate all symptoms. A breakthrough treatment is needed – and we may have found it in the Shiftwave device.

HELP US BREAK NEW GROUND IN POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS TREATMENT WITH SHIFTWAVE

Study participants at Dell Medical School will be randomized to receive either daily 30-minute Shiftwave sessions or 30-minute sessions in a traditional massage chair in their homes for a period of eight weeks, in addition to any existing treatment, psychological and/or psychopharmacological.

  • Evaluate the clinical effect of daily Shiftwave use in 40 persons with current PTSD.
  • Discover the effect of Shiftwave on autonomic nervous system physiology, whole-body inflammation, and brain structure and function.

Due to the intelligent patterns of physical vibration waves traveling through the body to reset the stress response and realign the nervous system, we believe Shiftwave intervention will significantly reduce PTSD symptom severity and shift resting brain networks into patterns associated with greater emotional regulation capacity.
