Introduction
I am a Green Beret for the US Army who has had persistent problems with sleep, anxiety, and PTSD.
Background
I used to have horrible sleep; I did multiple sleep studies and tried using APAP and CPAP machines for years with minimal results. Mainly, I got little deep sleep and would wake up with nightmares frequently. Additionally, I deal with PTSD and anxiety from my service.
Usage
I use the 25-minute Ride the Tiger protocol weekly and the 7-minute Bedtime protocol every night before bed, and I will do at least one 60-minute SS sleep protocol a week. Having seen the profound impact that Shiftwave had on my mental and physical health, I implemented it in my team and unit’s intense training and rehabilitation programs.
Measured Results
When my unit was first issued biometric trackers such as Whoop straps and Oura rings, recovery scores above 90 were considered near impossible for special forces due to the immense stress they experienced during training and in the field; after using Shiftwave, soldiers regularly reported scores of 92 and 93, often jumping up 10 to 15 points from before; showcasing the transformative effects that Shiftwave has on stress and anxiety. I also noticed that the soldiers who used the Shiftwave before stressful training recovered faster, improved their cognitive performance, and enhanced their ability to remain calm while shooting.
Q. How did Shiftwave help you?
Shiftwave helped me cope with the stress and trauma from my military service, including dealing with the aftermath of a broken back and a brain tumor. It significantly reduced my anxiety, helped me achieve a clearer headspace, and improved my cognitive performance throughout the day and in the extreme demands that being a Special Forces soldier requires of me, which was crucial for my mental well-being and prompted me to implement it in my team's training, which led to drastic increases in recovery and decreases in stress and anxiety. Furthermore, I can take the Shiftwave home, and it is now helping my wife and children. They use Shiftwave almost every day, and I have noticed that everyone is less stressed and more reactive to the daily stressors of modern life.
Q. How else has Shiftwave impacted your life?
I suffered from what is now called operator syndrome. It seemed as if my life was spiralling, and the only time I took a knee and asked for help, my condition and symptoms only got worse. There was this spiraling effect of treatment that almost forced me into a perpetual loop of my problems backed by medication with pills and hormone injections that only exacerbated the problems. When it rains, it pours, and I perceived it to be happening to not just me but all my teammates and Special Operators. I needed to dig myself out of the depressive state and get off of the terrible medication that I was becoming dependent on. Because of the mishandling of my treatment and the never-ending cycle of therapy and treatment sessions, I started to look for healthier and more natural solutions. By the grace of God, I found Shiftwave.
I met Dr. North, and we talked about the product briefly. Knowing very little about it, I jumped right in and tried the 25-minute Ride The Tiger protocol. To say the least, it was a profound moment. I knew right away that not only would this device help me get back into operator shape mentally and physically, but I also had an overpowered feeling of how a Shiftwave could have helped my brothers, who decided to take their own life due to the same spiral of issues I found myself in. Or even how incredibly beneficial this would have been on combat rotations or overseas deployments. I brought Shiftwave back home with me and started putting all of my teammates and coworkers into stronger protocols. I have now been able to help so many Special Forces members who are just “stuck in a rut”, by having them use Shiftwave, then talk with them and help them work through the problems. They also loving the Physical and Mental performance enhancing benefits of Shiftwave.
