How can I claim my Shiftwave from my HSA?
To claim the cost of your Shiftwave device from your HSA:
- Confirm Eligibility: Ensure the Shiftwave device qualifies as a medical expense under IRS rules. This may require a Letter of Medical Necessity from your doctor stating that the device is needed to treat a specific medical condition.
- Purchase the Device:
- Request an Invoice: Reply to the purchase confirmation email to request an invoice for
- Submit the Claim: If you have an HSA debit card, use it to pay for the device directly. If you paid out of pocket, log in to your HSA account online and submit a claim for reimbursement. You may need to provide a copy of the receipt or invoice as proof of the expense.
